Trauma—an emotional response to a distressing experience—is a condition few people can escape. Most of us have experienced some form of trauma in our lives. What we may not realize is that trauma lives in the body, and the body wants to heal. My life’s work has been to facilitate this healing. Listening with my hands and heart, I create a sacred space that allows the physical body and the subtle energy systems to work in harmony. Drawing upon varied healing modalities such as Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Deep Tissue Massage, and respecting the body’s innate ability to heal, I help clients achieve increased vitality, strength, and wellbeing.

After graduating from The Brian Utting School of Massage in 1990, I began my career at the Orcas Island Healing Arts Center. I initially offered deep tissue and relaxation techniques, helping to relieve pain and stress and treat injury. Since then, my studies have been vast and varied, and my practice has become more subtle. I am a lifelong learner of neuroscience, anatomy, and mindful presence, and my diverse experience complements my practice. As a dancer, I bring a balanced and grounded touch to each session. As a lover of nature, I maintain a deep connection to spirit and slow down to allow messages to become clear. I tailor each session to the changing rhythms and needs of the client. I focus on integrating hardship and joy, I work with a slow and quiet curiosity, and I guide dialogue when it arises. A deep listener on many levels, I meet clients at the intersection of the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies to shepherd best self forward.
